This is the best co-working group I've ever done! The facilitator is excellent and compassionate and the participants model being accepting of their ADHD.

I don’t often write reviews, but the ADHD Collective has been so instrumental in helping me work through my struggles with ADHD that I feel compelled to write this review, in case it's helpful for others who are also struggling and debating whether to join. Getting diagnosed as an adult has been both freeing and daunting to navigate. I felt I needed some practical help and started googling around for options, which led me to the weekly Wednesday Coworking Sessions that are free to the public. I loved the concept of working in a group to get through mundane or difficult tasks, and from my first session, I thought it was fantastic! Working in a group setting like this really does help me feel less alone and more motivated to finish my tasks, whether it’s something simple like laundry or something more creative but overwhelming. Adam has a great personality and an approachable quality that makes the sessions engaging for everyone. I also appreciate the way he (and sometimes others in the group) suggests solutions and advice if you’re struggling with how to break down a task or are just too overwhelmed to decide where to start. Although there was never any pressure to join as a coworking member, I wanted more flexibility to attend any day of the work week, and that was a game changer! I love the intimate and supportive feeling of the group—it adds an extra layer to what drew me in the first place. However, for me personally, the most helpful aspect has been working directly with Adam as my ADHD coach, alongside attending the Coworking Sessions. Both are incredibly valuable, and without being too melodramatic, the two combined have been so helpful that I can’t quite adequately express what it means to me! I tried other ADHD coaches in the past, and they were lovely people, but their approach felt very stiff and honestly no different from what I imagine a regular life coach would do, or the approach organizers have taken when working with me. I felt my neurodivergent brain wasn’t being acknowledged, and when we came to a stumbling block, I didn't find the coaches or their solutions motivating or creative in how to handle it. I had truly given up on coaching until I saw how Adam approached moderating the coworking sessions, and it made me think he might have a different approach and be worth giving a try. Thankfully, I was right! Adam is creative in his approach to coaching. It is not a ‘one size fits all’ method, and that has made a huge difference in integrating his help. I finally feel understood by an ADHD professional, and even my friends and family have noticed a dramatically positive change in me. Another aspect I didn't anticipate about the combination of coaching and coworking is that by working with Adam directly, I felt more at ease interacting in the coworking group because I knew he already understood my personal situation and struggles. It helped me feel more comfortable in general. It’s all online, but it feels like a community or ‘family’ of like-minded individuals. Seeing all these smart, funny, successful people go through similar struggles has also helped me accept both the strengths and difficulties that come with having ADHD. Lastly, the consistency of attending the daily sessions, especially for me as a professional working from home, has helped me create a routine for myself around it, and I think that is what sets it apart from some of the larger body-doubling/online coworking groups. I don't feel lost in the crowd here. It feels dependable and comforting to 'see' the same people regularly. Not every member attends every day, but many are very consistent, and I love getting to know everyone and feeling a part of something special.
