2 months ago I was referred to Dr. Bishop for treatment of ADHD via my PCP following a telehealth appointment. I was currently being treated with Wellbutrin prior to my appointment, as prescribed previously by my telehealth provider, but was recommended to visit a provider in-person for more treatment options. Following my testing and follow up appointment, I was told I did not meet the criteria for stimulant-based treatment for ADHD, and, in Dr. Bishop's words, that I should "keep fidgeting and drink more caffeine." This already seemed like a red flag for a doctor to suggest drinking more than the recommended daily amount of caffeine as "treatment" for ADHD. This brings us to today where, despite being told that my current medications would be refilled and not receiving any tapering recommendations at my last appointment, I was told today that my Wellbutrin prescription would no longer be refilled. This seems like gross malpractice, as immediate cessation of any psychiatric medication can have serious side effects.

You will not find a less talented, more impatient and dated psychiatrist than Bishop. I've no clue yet how much this aging Trump voter is charging my family after failing to intepret the positive indicators on my wife's overpriced ADHD test, but we'll have to start anew with a smarter, younger doctor after letting this disinterested retiree raid our insurance and our checking account. If you want a doctor who can fumble a diagnosis and refuse to take into account the patient's own experience, Bishop is your man. No doubt the bill for his hasty, prejudiced non-analysis will be painful, even after he failed to propose a new, more effective path for treatment. Under his "care" my wife felt like an ATM machine, not a patient. And we are both worse for her wasted time.
