Dr Dani Godfredsen treated my child in appx 2018, I cannot remember the exact dates. It took me this long to write this review for a few reasons. Firstly, she seems so nice, professional, trustworthy, and absolutely beyond reproach. Secondly, I was intimidated and honestly did not trust my own judgement for a long time, but now that things have progressed with my child who is now thriving, I want to write about my experience in case it is helpful for another parent. My main concerns are the following: I noticed some concerns with my child that made me want to seek diagnosis by an actual physician. Dr Dani discouraged this and implied my child needed to continue therapy with her. She then expressed disapproval when I tried to get my child a proper medical evaluation. Now, in 2023, my child HAS finally been properly diagnosed, has received excellent care from a different therapist and doctors, and is thriving compared to back when they were seeing Dr Dani. I feel Dr Dani showed clinical ignorance in the situation, unprofessionalism in criticizing my attempts to get my child properly evaluated by a physician, and just overall poor bedside manner, in being judgemental toward parents, refusing to explain reasoning in detail, and I felt guilt-tripped. She may be educated which is why I initially choose her, but I was very disappointed that she did a terrible job for my family and my child was impacted negatively by the whole situation. Some experiences can’t be undone. Main point is:yes, she is nice and seems great, but I am VERY regretful for trusting her and wish I would have advocated for my child better. I wish I would have used extreme caution when letting her influence my child’s medical care and gotten a second opinion.
