Reading I’m shocked. We had an amazing experience and continued support for our now 11 year old. He has been managed and is excelling in school. I loved the parent group and found great guidelines for long term help

Embarrassingly poor and concerning. A fellow put my then teenage daughter on Aderall based off a 30 minute tele health call with her. No formal assessment was performed and she had no previous formal diagnosis of ADHD. Fellow repeatedly failed to follow up and missed several appointments--didn't show up, leaving my daughter sitting in waiting room and ultimately blamed scheduler for not letting us know. The next fellow made it to appointments, but was always late and needed to leave early. Ultimately ended up moving her out of the clinic. She lost over 10 pounds in a short period of time--side effect from medication. No one ever asked her about her weight, eating, appetite or weighed her--all of which are customary treatment follow ups when prescribing stimulant medication, especially to teenager girl. Baffled at such poor and dangerous care. My guess is that they over work fellows, don't have enough of them and the department is poorly managed. We had a much better experience at UNC.
