The only counseling place in my entire life I've ever had an issue with. I was emailed by Michelle and told my insurance wasn't paying them, so they were dropping us. Only they had messed up and billed it wrong to begin with. When they finally billed the insurance, they were being paid for everything. I had documented proof they had been paid and I had an itemized list of checks sent to them. Then the office Manager, Michelle, complained that the sessions were going over by 7-10 minutes. Only.... Isn't that the therapist's job to watch the time and not the little kid in the session? Then claimed we were late, when we were always 5 minutes early waiting for the therapist. My son's disabled, and they clearly making up reasons to drop a kid who was disabled without stating they were doing so. They discriminated against us, and it was extremely blatant. Horrible counseling service.

This is a long shot, but I must know, if someone can respond please.. Is this the Dr. Hellfant that was in practice in 1984? My mother went to his office after her and my father's divorce, and although I was only 3 and can't remember his face, I will never forget his kindness. I made copies of my pudgy little 3 year old hands on the xerox machine. My mom had those saved. There were also these amazing puzzle cubes; 6 of them, perfect for small hands. Last I knew, my mom still has them. I played with them throughout the years growing up and always thought they were special. I very likely have the wrong office after this many years, but if by some chance this message ended up in the correct spot, I just wanted to leave a 100 star review to the doctor with the loving heart so caring that it can still be felt over 40 years later. Please respond, I can email and would have preferred to, but I wasn't sure about response. I only have kind words so I thought I'd post a review.
