I am probably Julie’s oldest client at 50 years old—and have proudly lived with dyslexia my entire life. Dyslexia has shaped me into a better problem solver, helped me become a successful trial attorney, and reminded me that with the right support, nothing is out of reach. After 21 years of practicing law in New York, I decided to take the South Carolina Bar Exam. I assumed I no longer needed accommodations, since I had done fine professionally for decades. However, I quickly realized that dyslexia does not go away—it just hides better with time and technology. The South Carolina Bar required updated proof of my disability and accommodations history, which I had in high school, college, law school, and for the New York State Bar. Unfortunately, those records were long gone. I felt stuck. Then I found Julie. Julie immediately understood my unique situation. She welcomed me with compassion and professionalism, guided me through comprehensive testing, and wrote a powerful report that helped secure the accommodations I needed. Her work was clear, evidence-based, and compelling—so much so that the South Carolina Bar quickly approved my request, and I passed the exam on my first try. To parents reading this: I know most of Julie’s clients are likely younger. But take it from someone who has lived a full life with dyslexia—your child’s struggles do not define their future. With advocates like Julie, they can thrive in school, college, and even the courtroom. Julie reminded me that dyslexia is not a limitation—it is simply a different way of learning. I am so grateful she was in my corner for what I hope is my final fight dealing with dyslexia.

My oldest daughter had an evaluation with Julie and I cannot recommend her enough. Julie’s testing and reports are comprehensive, and she takes her time to go through all the results with you. She is a great communicator and made sure that I understood my daughter’s results and the recommendations moving forward. I feel she truly wants the best for my child. I plan to schedule my younger daughter for an evaluation with Julie soon.
