This lady changed my whole life in the best way by diagnosing me with Autism at age 29. It is hard being a female and high functioning, trying to get an offical diagnosis late in life when most of what society knows about autism is about the lower functioning members and males and she took everything i was telling her into consideration above all else. She was very understanding and patient and now i can have the chance to unmask and understand myself so much better! I'm extremely happy and grateful! She is even working on writing up an accommodation letter for my work. This is the lady you want if you're seeking a late diagnosis! And a big thank you to Dr. Goobic!

After living 41 years and just now being diagnosed with ASD, I can say that I felt relieved. And Dr. Goobic could not have been a better person to deliver that diagnosis. Her personality is very warm, and I felt like I was speaking with a family member. I think that during a pandemic and time where uncertainty is the headline of every news article, that warmth is what provides a pathway to feel comfortable communicating difficult experiences. Dr. Goobic actively listens and participates in your conversations. She provides recommendations, “homework”, things to try, people to contact for additional resources, and is just a wealth of information. She has been featured on NPR, worked for a myriad of health institutions, and even provided training to the staff at Kennedy Krieger Institute. I was lucky to have worked with her; and I feel that she is an invaluable resource to the DC, MD, and VA regions.
