I worked with Mariam Jensen for 2 years and found her to be a caring, compassionate therapist and a wonderful advocate for children. She holds to a high standard of ethics and evidence-based practice. She listens to concerns and seeks solutions to alleviate problems. She is skilled in play therapy and I recommend her without reservation.

Even though we had had our son in therapy for 6 months before we found Ms. Jensen, I didn't understand how play therapy helped him until we started at Joyful Heart. She is so patient both with the kids and parents, teaching parents how to help their child throughout the process. She is so attuned to our son and how he thinks and feels. And I've learned more about him myself through this. It does take more time and effort on the part of the parents/caregivers than his last therapist, but it's 100% worth it. Don't hesitate to bring your child here.
