If you just have a simple prescription refill and aren’t dealing with any health issues you’ll be fine maybe. However, if it’s something complicated, especially with seizures, stay far, far away! My experience with Matthew Patzek, ARNP, was a lesson on how a medical facility can document a crisis and simply do nothing and craft lies and think its ok to do so ! It was evident from the notes of the healthcare provider that I was dealing with “uncontrolled seizures” and neurological dysfunction. To be sure, this is what is meant by the expression “drop everything and help,” and it comprises an “oopsie” waiting period of two weeks waiting on referrals for a major issue! The ‘Frankenstein’ Charting When I finally got my medical files, I was staggered at the laziness. The file is full of inconsistencies it literally says ‘Yes’ to questions about symptoms in one entry and ‘No’ in the next entry about the same exact questions. And they have my prescription history incorrect. This isn’t just a typographical error these medical histories travel with you to see other doctors. Inconsistent ‘copy-and-paste’ medical histories can damage your life because other doctors rely on these inaccurate medical histories for decisions. Lack of Accountability When I brought these errors to the office's attention, they chose not to correct the mistakes. They fell back into “lawyer mode” right away. They would not correct the record and told me I could simply “submit a disagreement,” then terminated my treatment as a patient. They were more concerned about trying to cover their basis than about correcting a potentially dangerous and inaccurate medical record. Bottom Line: This is just a bad day at the office. NO, this is a provider who documented I am in danger and left me dangling for two weeks without an appropriate plan. You folks value safety, and I do, too. Find yourself a doctor who cares about the details. RUN DONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS PLACE !

I started therapy early this year and I’m so glad I chose mental edge. They’ve been a great office from the start. They work with your schedule, inform you about your insurance, and help you find a provider that will best suit you. My therapist, Sandhya Verma- Higgins has improved my life tremendously. She is just wonderful. She’s given me real tools that I’m able to use in my daily life to improve my overall well being. Within months my mental health, my relationship with myself, the relationships in my life, and ultimately, my overall well being have improved for the better. For someone who had never been to therapy before and wanted to give it a shot, I am so thankful that I did. If you ever find yourself wanting to give it a try, I encourage you to take that step. It’s not an overnight success. Working with your therapist and incorporating your new practices takes time and effort. Which makes your personal growth all the more rewarding. You will thank yourself in the long run!
