The Counseling Nook

Carly is truly one of the best therapists I know. I worked with her for years and have always been blown away by her compassion, insight, and how safe people feel around her. She started The Counseling Nook with so much heart, and it shows in everything she does. I’ve sent close friends and family her way and every single one has had a great experience.

I sent in my information because I was in need of counseling due to a loved one completing suicide. I was given an email to fill out a packet but never heard back from this agency. I called back myself two weeks later and was told they could not find my information even though I can bring it up in my portal with them. I was told the owner would be asked to give me a call regarding this issue, but I never received one. I waited a few more days to leave this review because I do appreciate that they are a small office and that is one of the reasons I wanted to book with them. As a mental health professional myself, I do understand that these things can happen. However, it’s nearing a month since I have sent my information in with no follow up. I was also told when I followed up on my own time that there was a 2-3 month waiting list for appointments which I was not told previously. I have already waited almost a month and I’m not on a waiting list, and I don’t have faith that I will get the follow up call I deserve. It is unfortunate all the way around. I hope in the future this review is taken seriously so that it does not happen to another patient.
