Thriveworks Counseling & Psychiatry West Hartford

I have been seeing Doctor Richard Saxton for roughly 3 months. I've been dealing with anxiety, stress, and panic attacks for years. It finally reached a point where I realized I needed to see someone about it. Richard has been phenomenal. He's shown me a variety of techniques to deal with anxiety attacks and how to better control my emotions. I've definitely been better at managing my anxiety and feel like I've seen drastic improvement in various areas of my life. Scheduling appointments is very easy (email works best in my opinion). I'm very glad to have started this process.

If I was able to post zero stars I would. I have Never been someone to review somewhere, however, from a clinician not showing up to my appointment and then blaming me for missing it, to being charged incorrectly for issues on behalf of Thriveworks and appointments being moved without my consent. I honestly have nothing positive to say about Thriveworks. I would like to believe my issues were isolated, I don’t want to dissuade people from using Thriveworks but nothing in my experience was positive. Had 3 appointments with 3 different clinicians( Sarah and Dorothy were incredible) but this company has to figure a lot out and I hope this doesn’t happen to others. I most definitely will not be reaching out to them again.
