From 2020-2022 I went here for psychiatry help, also more recently in 2025 I needed help due to anxiety, depression and potentially psychosis. After being an guinea pig for years did I finally say I'm done with this. I am not being heard by my psychiatrist. I went to a new place where the first thing they offered was the gene test. To figure out exactly what works with my body. (Insurance doesn't cover it.) But for years psychiatrists have guessed what worked for my body and now I am confident to know what does. Don't waste your time being a guinea pig. The doctors won't bring this up to you and it's cruel. Just keeping us coming back to try the next thing, going I don't know what works till we try it. This test could have saved me years of my life and suffering. I can't believe no one said anything about the gene test. I suffered a great deal. Time I won't get back. I am so glad I choose a different psychiatrist and stopped going here.

I've been to many psychiatrist. This is by far the best facility I've come to. If it wasn't for the residence, Dr's, staff all working together I'd still be misdiagnosed bi polar when in reality I have ADHD. I spent the 1st couple years seeing resident Mckenzie Wilson who has sinced moved on to Renown. I was over medicated by a previous psychitrist. He helped detox me from a veriety of bi polar medications to create a new baseline. We were still in the trial and error phase when he moved onto Renown. He was very knowledgeable and knew how to get me to open up and and address past and current trauma. He was the best of both worlds psychiatry and psychology. I was then seen by resident Nichole Smith. I don't have much to say other than I didn't feel heard. Each appointment she would go over the same question without giving any kind of feedback back or support. She felt closed off making it so I didn't want to open up. I then requested to meet with a different psychiatrist on a different day. I am currently under the care of resident Katrina Wood who is supervised by Dr. Garcia-Rider. My insurance requires Dr. Garcia-Rider to meet with me at the end of each session to discussed and insure we are all on the same page moving forward. My boyfriend is also included in these sessions. During the process of elimination (medications and assessments) mid last year I was diagnosed with ADHD. I FINALLY felt herd and understood again. They both made me feel at ease and nerver push me into anything I am not comfortable with. They truly care about the well being of their patients and it shows because they take the time to have an open dialog and help you through whatever it is you are experiencing by sharing knowledge and providing suggestions. As for admin, they have always worked with me when I've had to change an appointment, medical records or needed help with a prescription. I've never had a problem with them forwarding my messages to the doctors and getting back to me in a timely manner, very kind, caring, discreet and understanding. Highly recommend!!
